DRIVE THRU AND DROP OFF YOUR “E-WASTE” ON SUPER BOWL WEEKEND
Greenway’s Melrose Trading Post is sponsoring a free E-Waste collection service on Saturday, Feb 6th and Sunday, Feb 7th at Fairfax High School, 7850 Melrose Ave., on the corner of Melrose and Fairfax Ave. in Hollywood.
Los Angeles, CA, January 7, 2010 - Before you sit down in front of your new flat screen to watch the Super Bowl, take a few minutes to drop off your old TV and other electronic waste that is taking up valuable space at Fairfax High School.

We also will offer a free pickup service of e-waste if there are twenty or more items at one location.
E-Waste is any consumer electronic equipment that has reached its ‘end-of-life’ or ‘end-of-usage,’ whether in full or non-working condition. It includes most electronics or electric appliances with a cord or circuit board such as: Computer Monitors, Television sets, PC Systems, Printers, Laptops, Copiers, Scanners, Fax Machines, Toner Cartridges, UPS & PDAs, Power Supplies, Main Frame Units, Networking Equipment, Mother Board Systems, VCR/VCD/DVD Players, Home Entertainment Systems, Landline and Cellular Phones, & Small Portable Devices. We also accept car and forklift batteries. There is a $5.00 Service fee for Microwave Ovens. We do not accept: Refrigerators, Washer and Dryers, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, and Household Batteries.
Greenway’s Melrose Trading Post is an antique and collectables market held every Sunday in the Fairfax HS parking lot. Recognized nationally for its multicultural atmosphere and the eclectic nature of both the bargains and its bargain hunters, it has been featured in “Best of L.A.” issue of such publications as Vogue, Sunset Magazine, Jane, Country Home, GQ and Los Angeles Magazine.
Greenway’s Melrose Trading Post is a staunch supporter of its local community. Working in tandem with Fairfax High School and Fairfax Parents and Friends Foundation, Greenway Co-Artistic Directors, Whitney Weston and Pierson Blaetz, envisioned the Trading Post as a means for the students to make a significant contribution to their own success through raising money for school programs and increasing confidence and self-esteem.
In addition to its E-Waste collection, the Melrose Trading Post will unveil its new bike Valet Service, Sustainable Agriculture Produce Table, a new section specializing in green and sustainable products, performances by local artists. All proceeds benefit Fairfax HS students.
